Pasighada 2

More on Naratibo's "Pasighada"

The tribe found themselves in Binondo, Manila after the Pasig River cruise.

Sampling Chinatown fare was on the field trip list.

Naratibo's Pasig River Cruise

AnnaGon, our "cruise director" took tribe members on a cruise aboard the Pasig River ferry sometime November 2007. The group boarded at the Guadalupe station and sailed all the way to Binondo, where they had a Chinatown field trip.

I was sorry to miss it and hope I can be on the next one.

NARATIBO welcomes Year of the Rat

Welcome, Year of the Rat

Looks like the Naratibo tribe of Filipino writers' first activity for 2008 is a Chinese New Year party at Tambayang Makiling. Allan D, kudos to you for gamely accepting and more importantly, stepping up to the role of workshop pointperson last year. Thanks to you now, the tribe is finally rousing from what seems to be an extended post-Christmas hibernation.

So, Naratribe folks out there, ready your Book Wish lists and just come to the party (February 9th, right, Allan D) with at least one book for our Book Exchange (postponed from December 2007). Bring a title that you know someone in the tribe is most likely to really appreciate. (Remember last year's Exchange? Louie N and Nori D battled for Ian V's copy of Jean Genet's Thief's Journal by delivering extemporaneous speeches (that we enjoyed) on who deserved the book more? Louie N gave way to Nori, though. Titles exchanged covered a wide range -- from E. Nesbit's children's classics (The Phoenix and the Carpet) to Rushdie's Satanic Verses. Let's see what tribe members have in store for one another in a couple of weeks.

I wonder whether the tribe will be able to hold Extreme Charades 2. Paging Roy and Reagan, another classic performance, please?

So, to all tribe members, show up. Who knows, you may come home with an ang pao too? Xiexie! Ciao! Kitakits!
